The course is intended to expose the students to the concept and strategies of teacher professional development. The course is divided into five units. The first unit talks about the basic concepts of teacher development while the second unit presents the contexts of teacher education. The third unit discusses the different types of knowledge that an English teacher needs to possess. Unit four talks about the role of teachers and the last units presents some strategies of teacher professional development.
